Dema a intra su popri hrach, uzivatelskych a systemovych programoch velmi zvlastnou skupinou
programov. Nedaju sa prilis prakticky vyuzivat, a clovek sa casto s nimi nemoze ani
prilis zahrat (aj ked v tomto smere su vynimky). Vecsinou jedine, co moze clovek robit,
je sadnut si a divat sa ako v kine. Intra, na rozdiel od dem,
navyse obvykle ani nemaju ziadne ovladanie, proste bezia tak ako su spravene.
Hlavnym poslanim dema a intra je ukazat
na jednej strane graficke a hudobne schopnosti pocitaca a na druhej strane sikovnost
a vytvarny, hudobny a programatorsky talent ludi, ktori dema a intra tvoria (demomakeri).
Ich cielom je s danymi systemovymi prostriedkami pocitaca urobit co najvecsie,
najrychlejsie, najplynulejsie, najbohatsie a najposobivejsie efekty.
V pripade intra je tu este podmienka navyse - ako celu audiovizualnu ukazku
naprogramovat a natlacit do znacne obmedzeneho suboru, obvykle o dlzke 1kB.
